Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com today announced that it has added Polk County, FL to its growing list of expansion teams for next season. “The new Polk County Flame will be a great addition to our Southeast Division,” stated Joe Newman, ABA CEO. “One of our priorities has been to expand the division with more teams in Florida. With the addition of Tampa and Polk County, plus several others in the works, we should easily accomplish that goal – and in Aaron and Toynette Camon, we have a great young ownership group that really understands both the game of basketball and the business of basketball.”
Aaron T. Camon Sr. is the owner of Coast to Coast Cleaning Service, Inc., a Tampa Fl-based company. He and Toynette are life long residents of Tampa. Aaron has a passion for basketball (a big LA Lakers fan), and has been coaching AAU basketball for several years. “Owning a professional basketball team has been a dream of Toynette and me for many years,” stated Aaron. “The opportunity to become a part of the ABA family was simply too good to pass. While we’ve lived in Tampa, since there was already a team there for next season, we selected Polk County Florida, an area that we know very well – and we intend to make the Polk County Flame one of the best organizations in the entire league. We will make Polk County and the ABA proud and give the fans there exciting professional basketball at affordable prices.”
