The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com today announced that it will add a team next season in Hartford, Connecticut – the Connecticut Topballerz. “The return to New England is long overdue,” stated Joe Newman, ABA CEO. “We are very excited about having the Connecticut Topballerz as part of the ABA. This is an origanization with a wonderful background in sports, business and community involvement. I cannot see how it can be anything but hugely successful. Our Northeast Division teams are thrilled also.”

Topballerz.net LLC (www.topballerz.net) is the owner of the team. The company was established in 2007 to help athletes get a chance at playing their sports at the professional level. The company was founded by two brothers, Trevor and Aaron Hairston. Trevor, a social worker and Aaron, a computer engineer, both played baseball, basketball and football through high school.. Aaron went to SCSU, Trevor to Hampton University and then both went onto play semi-pro football after college which led them to developing Topballerz.net LLC (www.topballerz.net). The basketball team will be known as the CT Topballerz and the two organizations will share the same website and co-market.

“The ABA is the perfect fit for our organization,” added Trevor. “Aaron and I are very excited about this and it will give us a chance to help young basketball players get started on their professional basketball careers. We are very excited.”
