The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com today announced that it will add an expansion team in Decatur, GA next season. “The Southeast Division is really growing,” stated ABA CEO, “and this new team located near Atlanta GA will be a welcome addition. We are very pleased to have Coach Ralph L. Presley as the owner; we know he will do a great job.
The team will be owned by Southwest Warriors/Athletic Union of the United States/Central Atlanta Junior Table Tennis League, Inc, a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit corporation and will be named the Southwest Fellowship Warriors. Coach Presley, a former 4-year starter and team captain for Clark Atlanta University, has been a long-time coach at many levels in the Atlanta area and has worked closely with several players who have gone onto the NBA including Dwight Howard. He is currently President/CEO of an Atlanta-based property management company after a successful career in the life insurance industry.
“My career has been one of leadership, management, basketball coaching and implementation of policies with over 30 years of experience,” added Presley. “I believe that my skills will translate to a successful ABA team both on and off the court. This opportunity represents quite a challenge and we are very excited to get going and to complete with some great ABA teams in the Southeast.”
