Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com today announced that it will add a second team in Chicago next season. “Chicago is a big city and there is certainly great room for another team there; we’ve been waiting for just the right owners to do it,” stated Joe Newman, ABA CEO. “And we found them in a former ABA player, Rodney “Mr. Mookie” Williams. “Mr. Mookie” has all of the skill sets needed to create an outstanding organization and a fine team. Having played for Ron Hicks’ Chicago Steam, “Mr. Mookie” and he should have an exciting rivalry too.”
“Mr. Mookie” is well known in Chicago having participated in Marquette Small Fry Basketball for years and having played for John Hope College Prep and Curie Metropolitan High School as well as Kennedy King College and East West University. He also started an extremely popular Team Mook Showcase at several locations in Chicago such as Hayes Park, Rainbow Beach and JLM Center.
