The Indy Naptown All Stars Professional ABA Basketball Team is proud to announce the hiring of new Head Coach, Kevin Jones. Coach Jones is the former head coach of Chicago State University, turning the school’s 3-year substandard performance into one of the leading programs in division 1 ball and receiving the high honor of being named “Coach of the Year” in his first year as head coach. Jones left Chicago State as the school’s all time winning coach in their division 1 history.

Now he hangs his hat as the head coach of the Indy Naptown All Stars ABA Professional Basketball Team. Kevin Jones’ far reach into the Indianapolis community, and basketball community in general is just one of the reasons he has been brought on board. His knowledge of basketball, and players alike makes him an incredible asset not only to the All Stars, but to the ABA as well.

“We are so thrilled to have someone of Coach Kevin Jones caliber leading our team”, says owner Susan Packard. She continues, “his ability to bring out the best in local players, as well as reach out to the community is going to be invaluable, and I can’t think of a better coach to lead our team to victory”.

Recently the ABA signed a 40-game TV deal with ESPN, and we believe that with Coach Jones, we will be one of the lucky teams broadcast as a part of that deal. Though at this time, no decision has been made by the league as to which teams will get the ESPN coverage. “But having Coach Kevin Jones as our team leader, we are sure to get a close look at by the league”, says Co-Owner Jerri Rines.

Keep an eye on the All Stars website for more developments and team progress. Thanks to Coach Jones for helping to lead our team to what will prove to be an amazing inaugural season! or
