Dear Mr. Newman,
Every year KidsTLC transforms the lives of thousands of children in the community. Our Psychiatric Residential Treatment program provides healing and hope for abused and neglected children facing the challenges of a mental illness. Our Behavioral Health and Autism services provide integrated care to children and their families in the community. Our Street Outreach services team provides resources to homeless and runaway teens throughout the metro area. All these programs are generously supported by community businesses and volunteers. One group of volunteers we can always count on is the team from Missouri Rhythm.
Missouri Rhythm players and coaches give their time and resources for our children and programs in many ways. Over the last few years, Missouri Rhythm players have provided multiple sports clinics on our campus. These clinics offer our kids opportunities to hear about sportsmanship, goal setting, team work and even to cheer on some impressive dunking skills. Interactions with successful community members provide our kids with a sense of hope for the future.
Along with group projects, Missouri Rhythm President, Bryant Tucker, served as an individual volunteer for our Mid Week Movie Mania summer activity. Mr. Tucker shared the team popcorn machine, pizza and a great movie with the kids. Some kids remembered him from the basketball clinic, earlier in the summer. What a great connection! We are grateful for the invitation to be the Charity of the Night at the November 23rd Livin’ the Dream Exhibition Game– a great opportunity to spread the word about KidsTLC, raise support and provide a great outing for our kids and staff.
Missouri Rhythm players and coaches are an invaluable resource and greatly appreciated by the children and staff at KidsTLC. We look forward to continued involvement with this organization and would like to extend an invitation for you to visit our campus and meet our kids.
