Chicago, IL.  The Women’s American Basketball Association (WABA) is excited to launch the much anticipated season this June, 2014.  “I am excited that we have a sold core group of teams ready to compete and provide so many women the opportunity to play the sport they love at the professional level,” stated WABA CEO Sonya Nichols.  “I am grateful to Joe Newman to sticking with this league and believing in me to get this up and running.”
“The WABA is very important to women and minorities and I want to continue to provide a platform for so ma many deserving individuals,” added ABA CEO Joe Newman.
The league games will be played with six core teams spread out through the East, Midwest and West Coast areas.
